Cauliflower has a bit of a reputation for being…underwhelming. It has gotten that reputation because most people think that the only way to cook cauliflower is to boil it or turning it into a cheesy mess (gratin). In reality, this liver-friendly vegetable is incredibly versatile. You can rice it, mash it, and even turn it into a pizza crust!
In this post, I will show you how to add flavour and life to your cauliflower and turn it into something special, by roasting it with a blend of unique spices. I totally recommend using this exact recipe to start, and then feel free to give it your own unique spin with your own blend of spices for future cooking!
1 teaspoon cumin
Juice of 1/2 lime
1/2 tsp grape seed oil
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 tablespoon Garam Masala, or other Indian spice blend such as tandoori spice, or a curry spice blend
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 head cauliflower, rinsed, cored, cut into 2-inch pieces
Combine all ingredients on a baking sheet and bake until fork tender at 400 degrees
And just like that you have a super healthy, super flavourful cauliflower dish. This dish pairs perfectly with some delicious Morrocan Harira!
