Banana Rama Super Food Smoothie Bowl

This quick and easy banana enriched breakfast bowl will help get your day started right and keep your immune system happy and healthy! I love the crunch of the seeds and pomegranate and the sweet taste of the fruit, especially the creaminess of the frozen banana. To make life easy on yourself, cut up 3-4 banana’s into quarters and freeze in a Tupperware container use through the week. And for those of you worried you will taste the beet, have no fear, the flavour is masked by the raspberries and banana!

Did you know? Beet is extremely  supporting for your liver. It helps to flush out all those nasty toxins that get in the way of our health. Beets are also packed full of antioxidant protection and to boot are great for cardiovascular and prostate health.

In keeping with our immune theme, consider this mushroom dish. Mushrooms also support a healthy immune system and add so much flavour to your dishes. My favourite way to eat them would be sauteed with a 1/4 cup of white wine, sea salt and garlic.

Ingredients for Banana Rama Smoothie Bowl

  • 1/4 medium raw beet
  • 1/4 frozen banana
  • 3/4 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cashew milk
  • 1/2 scoop fermented proteins Plus protein powder by Genuine Health

Directions

Blend together and garnish with:

  • 1tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 6 almonds
  • 2tbsp pomegranate seeds
