Healthy Hot Chocolate (with a Twist)

‘Tis the season. Christmas is right around the corner and with a chill in the air and treats lurking around every corner, I would like to be able to indulge without the added sugar and overall crappy ingredients that often come in those little hot chocolate packages we all had as kids.
I made this tasty concoction the other night while wrapping gifts and watching one of those made for TV Christmas movies and felt that some hot chocolate would complete my holiday experience.

One of the best features of this drink is its full-ness factor. I mean, it gives you that little extra ‘something something’ so you don’t need to go look for something else after. Surprise surprise, it’s the coconut oil that does this. So remember, good fat = reduced cravings and more satiety!
I hope you enjoy as much as I do!
Merry Christmas!

Ingredients for Hot Chocolate:

  •  1 and 1/4 cup unsweetened cashew or coconut milk
  • 1/2 tsp matcha power
  • 1/8 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 heaping tbsp of raw cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Add all ingredients into a saucepan and heat on stove.

Whisk until smooth
